Inter Primavera score four again

Article image:Inter Primavera score four again

After their 4-1 victory away to Hellas Verona last time out, Inter Primavera ran out commanding 4-0 winners over Genoa on matchday 22 in the Primavera 1 division this afternoon. It was a fantastic performance from the Nerazzurri, who dominated the game and scored through Topalovic (a brilliant brace), Venturini and Alexiou.

Genoa's Papastylianou threatened early on for the visitors, firing two efforts off target (4'). Three minutes later, Topalovic opened the scoring with a precise free-kick from the edge of the box, leaving the Rossoblù goalkeeper with no chance. The Nerazzurri doubled their advantage in the 14th minute as Venturini finished off a fine Mosconi assist. Two to the good, the Nerazzurri were keeping possession without any problems and displaying real maturity. With 37 minutes on the clock, De Pieri sent an acrobatic attempt over the bar.

Inter also made a strong start to the second half, coming close to a third goal: Mosconi picked out De Pieri with an inviting ball, but the attacker failed to find the target from close range (49'). De Pieri had another opportunity a minute later on the slide, but his attempt went wide. The Nerazzurri didn't have to wait much longer to make it 3-0: Alexiou rose highest to head home a Zanchetta corner in the 54th minute. From that moment onwards, Inter slowed things down, managing possession and confidently dominating proceedings.

With ten minutes of normal time to go, Topalovic found the net again, this time with a lovely left-footed volley. There were no further goals, with the match finishing 4-0 to the Nerazzurri.
