The Inter Primavera registered a dominating win over Monza with a spectacular 4-1 on matchday 26. Zanchetta’s lads put in a convincing performance, on top from start to end. De Pieri, Spinaccè, Topalovic and Cocchi were all on the scoresheet. Monza pulled one back in the final moments through Zanaboni but it did nothing to change the result. The Nerazzurri are up to second in the standings with 52 points, level with Roma who are yet to play.
Inter started strong with De Pieri getting a big chance in the 15th minute, failing to score. The number 30 had another go five minutes later but Mazza worked a miracle to keep it out. In the 23rd minute, Garonetti almost took us ahead with a header. Inter kept pushing and in the 35th minute, Spinaccè took a shot but Mazza was there. The goal was coming and arrived in the 36th minute: Monza made a mistake at the back which allowed De Pieri to unleash a powerful volley and take the Nerazzurri one-nil up.
In the second half, Inter started well once again and doubled the lead in the 52nd minute: Berenbruch took a free kick and Spinaccè was there for the tap-in. Garonetti had another chance in the 65th minute but it went wide. Halfway through the half, Inter went close with Lavelli but the opposition keeper was right there. In the 77th minute, the visitors had a go with Postiglione but he headed wide. The third Nerazzurri goal came in the 80th minute: Topalovic came off the bench and managed to score with a clinical finish. Inter put the game to bed in the 89th minute as Cocchi put in a brilliant goal assisted by Mosconi and leaving Mazza no chance. In the 90th minute, Monza pulled one back as Zanaboni converted a penalty but the final result read 4-1 to the Nerazzurri. It’s a huge win for the Inter Primavera as they continue their journey, demonstrating solidity and skill in their play.
