Inter-owned striker Martin Satriano has made his first competitive appearance for Empoli on loan, with the Tuscans having been eliminated from the Coppa Italia by Serie B side SPAL.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 21-year-old came on to the pitch as a substitute in the 56th minute, but had a disappointing first match as his team were dumped out of the competition from the first round in extra time.

Satriano has followed in fellow Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti’s footsteps by spending the season upcoming season on loan at Empoli, and he will hope that he can have a similar impact to the one that Pinamonti did.

The Uruguayan had already enjoyed a positive loan spell with Brest in Ligue 1 during the second half of last campaign, and now he will try to make his mark in Italian football.

Satriano will not have a chance to impress in the Coppa Italia any longer this season, however, as Empoli have been eliminated from the competition, which Inter won last season.
