Inter-owned striker Eddie Salcedo looks set to leave Spezia from his loan spell earlier, and could make the switch to Cagliari on loan for the second half of the season.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the 20-year-old will likely have his loan spell cut short with the Ligurian club due to a lack of playing time.

Salcedo made the switch to Spezia on loan for the season late on during the summer transfer window, having been linked with a number of clubs in Italy as well as in France.

However, the young striker has barely featured for Thiago Motta’s side so far this campaign, and could have his loan spell broken so that he can move to a club where he will receive regular playing time.

Cagliari look to be the most interested suitors for Salcedo, and he could spend the remainder of the season on loan with the Rossoblu in Sardinia.
