Inter One Of Many Keeping Close Eye On Dries Mertens’ Situation | OneFootball

Inter are one of several clubs keeping a close eye on the situation of Napoli attacker Dries Mertens according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian international’s future with the Stadio San Paolo club is currently uncertain with his contract with them due to expire at the end of the current campaign.

Napoli are understood to want to keep a hold of him and Mertens ultimately wants to remain in Naples too but only if they can assure him that they want to fight to win the Serie A title.

Inter, Roma, Borussia Dortmund and a host of Chinese Super League clubs are interested in signing him and Dortmund and the Chinese clubs could be considered to be at a slight advantage at the moment due to the fact Mertens has a €10 million release clause in this transfer window which is only valid to clubs outside of Italy.
