Inter will not consider an offer of less than €30m for Denzel Dumfries, according to a report in the Gazzetta dello Sport today.

After early questions in Lombardy over his ability, the former PSV man continued to impress as the season went on, and became a key part of the team with Robin Gosens out.

The report concludes that the improvement means that Inter are keen to keep hold of the Holland international, who has picked up attention from Chelsea this window.

As it stands, that deal looks dead. Chelsea would have loved to pick up a talent like this for €12m like Inter did, just to back up Reece James, but at €30m he will prove too pricy for a backup.

We wouldn’t rule out a return for him in the future, especially if Gosens returns to the team and reclaims his place. For now though, we expected another year of Dumfries in Milan.
