Inter have three major issues which they must work on, in the form of poor game management across ninety minutes, defensive problems, and too many individual errors.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who highlight where some of the Nerazzurri’s fragilities have appeared this season.

Inter have shown major flashes of quality across all of their matches this season, but in many instances there were important moments where they lost control.

Against the likes of Hellas Verona, Fiorentina, and Sassuolo, the Nerazzurri recovered from bad starts and showed their quality to produce comeback victories.

However, in matches against Atalanta, Real Madrid, and over the weekend against Lazio they have let leads slip to drop points, something which they had found a way to do only rarely under Antonio Conte.

Additionally, the team has simply not looked as defensively solid as they had last season in the run-in to the Scudetto under Conte, and will have to improve upon this aspect and become more disciplined at restricting their most dangerous opponents.

Lastly, the problem of individual errors was highlighted by Alessandro Bastoni’s cheap penalty against the Biancocelesti, not the first time an Inter player has switched off and cost his team.

In these three factors, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will see three primary problems which must be addressed in order to make the most of the team’s best displays and get results.
