Inter Milan and Juventus could once again clash on the market, as both clubs are reportedly keeping tabs on Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche.
The two arch-rivals often end up locking horns in pursuit of common transfer targets. The latest case was Juan Cabal, with the Old Lady prevailing on that occasion.
So according to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, another Derby d’Italia could be brewing for the signature of Akliouche.
The 22-year-old is a Monaco youth product who rose through the club’s ranks all the way to the senior squad. He has been playing for the first team on a regular basis since 2022.
The attacking midfielder is currently on international duty, representing France U23 at the Olympic Games. Thierry Henry’s men will be looking to lift the trophy in front of their home crowd in Paris next month.
But in the meantime, Akliouche is being linked with a move to Juventus.
As Tuttosport tells it, the Bianconeri consider the Frenchman as an alternative to Teun Koopmeiners.
Juventus have been on the trail of the Atalanta star for several months. However, they’re still struggling to meet La Dea’s asking price of 60 million euros.
Therefore, the Turin-based giants could resort to a more affordable option in Akliouche.
Nevertheless, this could spark a battle with Inter who have also been tracking the young player, as the source explains.
The French-Algerian’s contract with Monaco runs until the summer of 2026. Transfermarkt values him at 25 million euros.
The left-footed star often plays as an attacking midfielder behind the striker. However, he can also feature as an inverted winger, cutting from the right flank.
