Inter Milan striker Martin Satriano has undergone his medicals ahead of a loan move to Ligue 1 clubs Lens.
This according to French outlet FootMercato, via FCInterNews. They report that the deal will be a loan transfer with a €5 million purchase option.
Satriano’s summer transfer saga is now nearly at its close.
There has been no shortage of transfer interest in the Uruguayan international. And Inter have been keen to offload him during the summer window.
The likes of Stuttgart, Real Betis, and Valencia have all registered an interest in the 23-year-old’s signature.
Moreover, Brest also showed a strong interest in bring Satriano back. They reached an agreement with Inter on a free, but the player himself was reluctant on the move.
Reports had suggested that Satriano preferred a move to a team in La Liga rather than another move to Ligue 1.
Then, Marseille came forward with interest in signing Satriano.
But it is another club in Ligue 1 who are ready to win the race for Satriano’s signature.
In the end, it is Lens who have come forward with the decisive bid to sign Satriano.
According to French outlet FootMercato, the 23-year-old has already undergone his medicals on the move today.
Therefore, tomorrow Satriano should sign his contract with the Ligue 1 player for the new season.
However, FootMercato report, Satriano will not join Lens on a permanent basis. Moreover, the outlet anticipate, there is no mandatory purchase obligation.
Rather, the outlet anticipate, at the end of the loan deal there will be a purchase option worth €5 million.
Other than his two loan spells with Brest, Satriano had also spent the 2022-23 season on loan in Serie A with Tuscan side Empoli.
The Uruguayan joined Inter as a youth team player from Nacional in 2020.
