Inter’s search for a like-for-like replacement for Skriniar is in full-swing, and Gimenez has emerged as a possibility.

Given that the 28-year-old has found his playing time at Atletico this season limited, and given that the La Liga giants are keen to sign Inter defender Stefan de Vrij or Torino’s Perr Schuurs, the Nerazzurri could move for the Uruguayan.
