Inter Milan target Manchester United midfielder as Christian Eriksen replacement

In a previous edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazette dello Sport, as cited by Sempre Inter, it is claimed that Christian Eriksen’s eligibility to compete in Italian football will be contingent on whether the ICD he has been recommended by doctors is temporary or permanent.

The device in which Eriksen’s using is to prevent future cardiac problems similar to the one he experienced during Denmark’s Euro 2020 opener against Finland. Apparently if the playmaker requires the device permanently, he cannot make his playing return for Inter Milan.

Eriksen is reportedly making a recovery – but it could be his life saved rather than career, and in the grand scheme of things I’m sure he’d take that.

Italian outlet Calciomercato claim that the Serie A champions are preparing for their creative midfielder to retire from football and in an attempt to cover his position is sounding out potential new signings.

It’s been noted that the Nerazzurri are interested in Manchester United’s Donny van de Beek and Chelsea’s Mateo Kovacic. Another option is AC Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu, who is out of contract in the coming days.

We would like to wish Eriksen the very best with his recovery.
