As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Inter Milan have rejected Wolfsburg’s loan offer for Robin Gosens.
The proposal made by the German club would mean that Gosens joins on an initial loan. However, there would be a mandatory option to buy in the summer of 2024 for a fee of €14m.
Nevertheless, this has been rejected on the basis that last season’s Champions League finalists are hopeful of receiving a larger fee for the 29-year-old. With no agreement in place for Gosens’ impending departure, the German wing-back is wanting a decision on his future to be made in the next week.
Last season, Gosens appeared 49 times for Simone Inzaghi’s side where he would scored four goals in all competitions from left wing-back. He would help guide Inter to their first Champions League final in 13 years before they would succumb to the quality of treble-winners Manchester City.
However, the 29-year-old is still appreciated by Urs Fischer’s Union Berlin and they are monitoring his current situation with Wolfsburg. But, Die Eisernen are also exploring other options after holding talks with Monaco’s Ismail Jakobs.
