This week will be an important one for Inter to define their future under the new ownership of Oaktree.

Naturally, there will be a lot of important business to attend to off the pitch.

Oaktree will be aiming to get the ball rolling on naming a new board of directors and President.

But the new owners will also have to attend to matters on the pitch as well.

The Gazzetta report that Oaktree representatives will not only be meeting with Inter’s senior management this week. They will also be part of a transfer summit with coach Simone Inzaghi.

The new owners will make clear their ambitions, as well as what the financial restrictions will be, to Inter’s directors as well as to coach Inzaghi.

Inter cannot make any signings while the transition in ownership is underway. That will be a period of two or three weeks.

However, that will not prevent them from planning for the summer.

Inter Milan Ready To Make Bento First Signing Of Oaktree Era

The Gazzetta report that goalkeeper Bento is the player who Inter want to make their first signing of the summer.

The Nerazzurri’s plan is to bring the Brazilian in to initially back up Yann Sommer in goal.

Then, within the next season or two, Bento can take over from the current Number One.

Athletico Paranaense want around €20 million to sell Bento.

However, Inter believe that they can chip away at that fee a bit in negotiations.

In any event, the Nerazzurri have been laying the groundwork to bring in Bento already.

And the Inter directors will make clear the importance of signing the young goalkeeper to Oaktree, who could green light a move as their first major piece of transfer business at the club.
