Inter Milan have struck an agreement with Parma for the signing of striker Ange-Yoan Bonny, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The Nerazzurri have been pursuing the French forward at the behest of new manager Cristian Chivu, who managed Bonny at Parma.

Inter’s initial offer was short of Parma’s valuation, but the two clubs have now reached an agreement.

The transfer fee will cost €23 million plus add-ons. Bonny will sign a five-year contract worth €2m per season.

Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart tried to scupper the deal, but Inter were in a commanding position to secure Bonny’s services.

Bonny will be Inter’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Petar Sucic and Luis Henrique.

The 21-year-old bagged six goals and four assists this season, helping Parma escape relegation.

Inter are looking for attacking reinforcements in the transfer window, with Marko Arnautovic set to leave when his contract ends at the end of the month.

Mehdi Taremi has also been linked with an exit from the San Siro, with Besiktas and Fulham showing interest in him.

Bonny will serve as a back-up for first-choice strikers Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram. Chivu will also rely on young striker Francesco Pio Esposito to add depth to the attack.

Coming off a prolific loan spell at Spezia, where he bagged 19 goals last season, the 19-year-old recently scored in Inter’s win against River Plate in the Club World Cup.
