Inter Milan are ready to launch an onslaught for Lens defender Facundo Medina, but it won’t be an easy mission.
According to FootMercato via FcInterNews, the Nerazzurri have entered the fray for the 24-year-old defender.
The Argentine has several other top suitors in Europe, including Juventus, AC Milan, and an English club that remains unnamed.
The source claims that Inter and their rivals are all preparing their offers for Medina.
However, Lens is shooting high, slapping a price tag above 20 million euros on the player’s back.
Therefore, the Ligue 1 side is playing hardball and would only relinquish the services of the star defender for a truly lucrative offer.
The French club had signed the centre-back from Tallares back in 2020 for around 4 million euros. Hence, they’ll be set to record a major profit if they receive the figure they’re seeking.
Nevertheless, the report understands that Lens aren’t eager to sell the Argentina international. In fact, they’re considering extending the player’s contract.
Medina’s current deal runs till the summer of 2026 having signed a renewal a year ago.
For his part, the defender is happy to stay at Lens where he managed to cement himself as one of the best up-and-coming defenders in Ligue 1.
The former River Plate man has made 22 appearances across all competitions this season. He contributed with a goal and a couple of assists.
He made his debut for the Argentine senior national team in 2020 and has three international caps to his name.
