This summer, Inter striker Esposito joined Empoli on loan.

The Tuscans also have a purchase option at the end of the season and can sign the Nerazzurri striker on a permanent basis.

This is hardly the first loan move that Esposito has gone out on.

The Italian youth team international has played for the likes of SPAL, Venezia, Bari, and Sampdoria in Serie B.

There have also been loan moves abroad. Esposito has played for Basel in the Swiss top flight and Anderlecht in Belgium.

But this summer, Esposito made his first move to a club in the Italian top flight.

Sebastiano Esposito: “Empoli The First Club In Serie A To Believe In Me”

Esposito has made a strong start to the season with Empoli.

The Tuscans have enjoyed a very positive start to the campaign, surprising many. They have managed to give themselves a foothold in midtable after spending much of last season in the relegation battle.

Esposito has been a regular starter for Empoli under coach Roberto D’Aversa.

The 22-year-old has scored twice for his current club so far.

Esposito told the Gazzetta that “Empoli are the first club in Serie A to believe in me.”

“They had the courage here,” he continued. “It’s like a family.”

Esposito said that Empoli “know the value of money, and don’t squander it,” as a club.

The 22-year-old also said that “I’m not surprised by this start to the season. It’s the fans who are surprised.”

Esposito said that “Everyone runs for one another” in this Empoli team.

Meanwhile, the Inter-owned striker said that it’s “inevitable” that he remains an Interista.
