Tottenham have been given the green light to sign Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar in the winter transfer window.
Spurs are on the lookout for an experienced and top class centre-half for Jose Mourinho's starting lineup.
Skriniar is one they attempted to sign in the summer, but a deal could not be done.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Mourinho has been told he can sign Skriniar from Inter if Spurs are willing to pay £45 million.
It is unclear if Spurs have the money, but Romano indicated Inter would very much like the deal to happen.
The 25-year-old Slovakian international is rated as one of the best in his position, but does not fit the "three at the back" system manager Antonio Conte prefers.
