Inter Milan have lined up new contracts for Lautaro Martinez Barella, and Simone Inzaghi for the end of the season.

Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, report that the Nerazzurri are ready to extend the trio’s deals until the end of June 2028, 2029, and 2027 respectively.

Inter’s priority in the coming months is not going to be rebuilding the team.

The Nerazzurri have just won the Serie A title, and in dominant fashion. Last time around, they reached the Champions League final.

The feeling is clearly that there is still more to come from this group of players.

Therefore, the biggest priority, rather than making big and flashy signings, will be to keep the core of this team intact.

And there are three key contract extensions at the heart of this aim.

Inter Line Up New Deals For Lautaro, Barella & Inzaghi – Details Revealed

The first to put pen to paper on a new deal should be coach Simone Inzaghi.

The 48-year-old is currently under contract with Inter until the end of next June. The club are offering an extension until the end of June 2027.

Inter should bump Inzaghi wages up to €7 million net per season.

Then, it will be time for two key players who are both under contract with Inter until the end of June 2026 – midfielder Nicolo Barella and captain and striker Lautaro Martinez.

Inter and Barella have essentially already agreed terms on a new deal.

Now it is just a matter of Nerazzurri owners Suning giving the official go-ahead to make the contract official. That should come once the owners sort out a new loan from PIMCO that will keep them at the helm.

Barella would then put pen paper on an extension until the end of June 2029.

Meanwhile, more negotiations are necessary with captain Lautaro Martinez.

To date, the Argentine has rejected Inter’s offers as not being high enough.

But Mediaset anticipate that Inter should reach a figure of around €9 million net per season plus add-ons.

That would be a significant increase from the €6 million net per season that Martinez currently earns.

And the captain has absolutely no intention other than to stay at Inter. That should mean that an agreement is not too hard to find.

And Martinez will sign a new deal until the end of June 2028 rather than 2029, reports Mediaset.
