Inter Milan have lined up Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi and Monza wingback Carlos Augusto as major summer transfer targets.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who name the duo as two hot names on the Nerazzurri’s shortlist as the transfer window really kicks into full swing.
Officially, the transfer window is not yet open in Italy. That will have to wait until the first of next month.
However, clubs aren’t waiting around to start to accelerate in their business.
For Inter, this has meant laying the groundwork for two deals in particular.
According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri are pushing to make two signings in particular. Both, however, would be contingent in corresponding outgoing business.
One player who Inter have been accelerating their move for is Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi.
The Nerazzurri want to beat out the interest of Juventus and Roma in signing the 23-year-old. They know that they can’t wait around, and for that reason are planning to make the sale that they need to unlock a deal with Sassuolo.
Inter are reportedly getting closer and closer to selling Marcelo Brozovic to Al-Nassr.
With the Croat out the door and Inter receiving a fee, the path would be clear to sign Frattesi.
The other major Inter target to emerge as the transfer window heats up is Monza’s Carlos Augusto.
The 24-year-old could arrive as a replacement for Robin Gosens on the Nerazzurri’s left flank.
Union Berlin are reportedly preparing to make an offer for Gosens. Inter could cash in on the German, who has never really made the expected impact in a season and a half since joining from Atalanta.
Monza’s breakout star Augusto is the Nerazzurri’s priority target to replace Gosens.
The Brazilian enjoyed a very positive first season in Serie A, scoring five goals and assisting six for the Brianzoli. Inter are ready to move after some talks with Monza.
