Inter Milan are looking at Porto’s Mehdi Taremi, Lille’s Tiago Djalo, and Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski as possible summer transfer targets.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
It is no secret that free transfers are an important component of Inter’s strategy in building their squad.
The Nerazzurri’s financial issues mean that it is not easy for the club to spend big in the transfer market.
But at the same time, the project at Inter is an ambitious one.
Last season Inter reached the Champions League final. This time around the Nerazzurri are currently ahead in the Serie A table, where they’ll hope to finally win the title under Simone Inzaghi.
Therefore, hunting down free transfer opportunities is an important way for Inter to sign top players whilst still staying within their financial limits.
And according to the Gazzetta, there are three players in particular Inter are already ready to move for.
The Nerazzurri are fully convinced by the Iranian international. They believe he is the right striker for their project.
And the fact that Taremi will be out of contract with Porto next summer makes him all the more attractive as a target.
Then there is Lille defender Djalo.
Inter had not moved for the 23-year-old over the summer due to a long-term injury.
But Djalo is back fit and Inter are keen to sign the Portuguese international.
And lastly, the Gazzetta report, Napoli midfielder ZIelinski is also very seriously on Inter’s radar.
The Pole’s current contract with the Partenopei runs out at the end of next June.
And according to the Gazzetta, Inter have already sounded out Zielinski’s entourage.
The 29-year-old, the Gazzetta report, is intrigued by the prospect of an Inter move.
