Now it looks clear enough. Di Lorenzo will leave Napoli at the end of the season.

Despite the 30-year-old having captained the Campanian team since the start of the 2022-23 season, a rift has formed between he and the club.

And that is not something that the parties will be able to overcome.

The difficult season that Napoli have had has caused some tensions behind the scenes. And this has prompted Di Lorenzo to seek a move elsewhere.

Moreover, Tuttosport report, Di Lorenzo wants a move to a team within Serie A.

Whilst there could be interest from other leagues, the 30-year-old’s priority is to stay within the Italian top flight.

And there would be no lack of interest in Di Lorenzo’s signature.

First of all, there is Inter.

The Nerazzurri have reportedly made contact with the Partenopei captain’s agent.

Di Lorenzo would certainly be a tempting option for Inter as a replacement for Denzel Dumfries on the right flank, in the event that they sell the Dutchman rather than extending his contract.

Then, Juventus are also eyeing Di Lorenzo up.

The Bianconeri could look to bring the Italian international in as a defensive reinforcement for Thiago Motta. Particularly with their own captain Danilo’s contract expiring at the end of next June.

And lastly, Tuttosport report, Roma coach Daniele De Rossi has also spoken to Di Lorenzo. He has made clear that the Giallorossi would be interested in signing him now that he’s available.

Napoli, for their part, have made the price tag for Di Lorenzo clear. They want no less than €25 million if they are to part ways with their captain.
