The Nerazzurri will hardly resist the departure given the player’s low status in Simone Inzaghi’s pecking order. Six midfielders are ahead of him on the totem pole.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, the only aspect that remains missing is a final agreement between the two clubs.

However, this shouldn’t prove to be a hurdle, as Inter would agree to relinquish the player’s services for as little as 2 million euros, according to circulating reports. After all, Sensi’s contract will expire at the end of the season.

The pink newspaper also reveals the significant role that Leicester manager Enzo Maresca played in convincing his compatriot to make the jump to English shores.

The former Juventus and Sevilla midfielder has explained to Sensi how he would fit in his tactical setup.

The Foxes are currently leading the Championship table with a comfortable 10-point gap over their closest chasers. They are certainly on the right track to sealing a swift return to the Premier League.

As for Sensi, this would be his first experience abroad.

The former Sassuolo man joined Inter in 2019 but recurring injuries have been haunting his time at Appiano Gentile.

The midfielder spent 18 months on loan between Sampdoria and Monza before rejoining Inzaghi’s troops in the summer.

However, he failed to lock himself an important role in the manager’s rotation. He only made four substitute appearances between Serie A and Coppa Italia this term and was dropped from the Champions League list.
