Inter have not had the start to February that they’d have wanted.

The Nerazzurri dropped points in the derby against AC Milan to start the month. It felt like a decent result considering that it came via a stoppage time equalizer, but it was far from ideal in reality.

Then on Thursday, Inter suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of Fiorentina.

That was the first time Inter have lost by a three-goal margin since 2019. And it meant that they remained three points behind Napoli in the table – but without a game in hand.

Inter Milan Keep Faith In Simone Inzaghi Despite Recent Serie A Stumbles

This run of form has re-opened some questions about Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.

The style of play has looked tired. And the coach is running out of time to react.

There are even echoes of the kinds of bad runs that led Inter to lose out on the title in Inzaghi’s first two seasons in charge.

But according to La Repubblica, that’s not how the club see it behind the scenes.

The mood remains as calm as ever. There is an appropriate level of worry, but not panic.
