Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana feels that whilst he cannot promise victory against Man City, he can promise sacrifice.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, the Cameroonian made clear that the Nerazzurri have come to Istanbul to win in the Champions League final, and that they will leave everything out on the pitch.

The time is nearly upon Inter.

In just over an hour, they’ll kick off against Premier League champions Manchester City. At stake is European club football’s top honour, the Champions League.

Both of the two teams have gone through a long and intense campaign. Only one will be able to go all the way.

Whilst City are widely considered to be the favourites, Inter’s quality is also undeniable.

However, quality and tactics are not all that the teams will need in this match. Motivation will also be of the utmost importance.

Both sets of players will need to play with a spirit of sacrifice.

From the perspective of Nerazzurri goalkeeper Onana, this is something that certainly will not be missing. It’s characterized the Nerazzurri’s run to the final, and it’s something that he promises will remain in place.

Inter Star Andre Onana: We’re Here To Win Vs Man City

Nerazzurri keeper Onana said that “This is the most important match of them all. We know that.”

“We’re here to win,” he continued. “They’re the strongest team in the world, but I’m calm.”

“If we play well, I feel certain we can win.”

As for what he can promise the fans, Onana said that “I can’t promise victory. But I promise we’ll sacrifice.”

“We’ll play without fear,” the 27-year-old added.

Onana also told Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, that “Our ambition is to win.”

“We are Inter, we’re a strong team and we always have to play to win.”

“I’m anticipating a difficult match, the most difficult in we’ve had in the last few years,” Onana added.

“But we know how to suffer, and I think we can return to Milan with the trophy.”

“The most important thing is us, not City,” the Cameroonian added.

“We have to do our job, defend well, and play well, without fear.”

Onana has made forty appearances for Inter this season, his first since joining from Ajax last summer.

The Cameroonian’s displays have been particularly crucial in the Champions League.
