Inter Milan & Germany Starlet Declares: ‘Inzaghi Knows I’m Ready, Benfica A Good Team But We’re Better’ | OneFootball

Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck feels that he has the trust of his coach Simone Inzaghi.

The 22-year-old German international spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. He also stated that he feels that while Benfica are a strong team, the Nerazzurri are better ahead of this evening’s Champions League group stage match.

Bisseck has not exactly been a regular on the Inter teamsheet following his summer arrival from Danish club Aarhus.

It always looked clear that Inter had brought in the young defender as a player for the future. Not necessarily for the here and now.

And so it has proven, as Bisseck’s opportunities have been relatively few and far between.

But that was always going to be a natural part of settling in for a player in the German’s position.

Bisseck had been starring in the Danish league prior to the summer.

But playing for Inter is a much different proposition.

There are a number of senior players ahead of Bisseck in the pecking order at the Nerazzurri.

But that doesn’t mean that the 22-year-old hasn’t played at all.

Bisseck has had a couple substitute appearances. And earlier this month, the young defender made his full debut, against Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League.

And this evening, for the second European match in a row, Bisseck starts.

Of this evening’s match, Bisseck said that “It will be a difficult match because they have something they have to fight for. We’ve already qualified for the knockouts.”

“Benfica are a good team,” he said. “But we’re stronger. And if we show our quality we’ll win.”

Bisseck noted that “Every time I can play I’m happy. There’s a bit of pressure when you don’t play much.”

“Inzaghi knows that I’m ready,” the 22-year-old said.

“I will try to do my best.”

“So far everyone has welcomed me very well,” the defender said. “Milan is a beautiful city.”
