Inter Milan are flying high above all of Europe by playing “Inzaghi ball” in the Champions League.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan gave a spectacular demonstration of what they’re capable of on Tuesday.
The Nerazzurri beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in the first leg of a Champions League quarterfinal tie.
It was a match in which Inter had to dig in and suffer for long periods. And they defended their penalty area with grit, intensity, and organization.
But it was also a match in which there were plenty of attacking fireworks from the Nerazzurri.

Inter’s most potent weapon against Bayern was the counterattack, undoubtedly.
But it was no mere direct football from the Nerazzurri.
On the contrary, whenever Inter would win the ball back, they looked to play astonishingly intricate combinations, and all at a very high tempo.
That was the way that both goals arrived for Inter at the Allianz Arena.
In the view of the Corriere, this is a testament to the work that Simone Inzaghi has done as Inter coach.
The 49-year-old is now coming to the end of his fourth full season as Inter coach.
Inzaghi arrived from Lazio in the summer of 2021. And with each season that he’s had at the club, he has made the team out more in his own image.
