Inter are looking at the likes of Lille defender Tiago Djalo, Bayern Municha’s Benjamin Pavard, and Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu as possible replacements for Milan Skriniar to be signed during the summer transfer window.
This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri would see all three as potentially attainable targets who could arrive at relatively low cost to replace the outgoing Slovakian.
With Skriniar set to leave Inter on a free transfer when his contract runs out at the end of June, the Nerazzurri will have to replace the former Sampdoria defender, and will have to do so within a certain budget.
Given that Atalanta duo Giorgio Scalvini and Merih Demiral could prove to be too expensive despite being admired by the Nerazzurri, other options are being looked at.
According to the Gazzetta, Leicester’s Soyuncu is one, and while the Turk’s current contract with the Foxes expires at the end of June, he is strongly linked with Atletico Madrid, whilst Liverpool are also interested.
Meanwhile, Pavard’s contract with Bayern runs out at the end of June 2024, and if the Bavarians are not able to convince the Frenchman to sign a new deal, then he could be available for a cut-price fee.
However, the German champions are still trying to extend Pavard’s contract.
Lastly, Lille defender Djalo is another player whose current contract runs out at the end of June 2024, and so the Nerazzurri could be in a strong position if they are to move for the Portuguese international in June.
