This was hardly surprising given how dominating Simone Inzaghi’s men have been since the start of the season.

The Beneamata won the Serie A title with five rounds to spare, while boasting the largest goal difference in Europe’s Top Five leagues.

Therefore, Inter collected the bulk of the awards, beginning with Inzaghi as Best Coach of the season.

The 48-year-old pipped departing Bologna manager Thiago Motta for the honor.

Moreover, the organizers named Alessandro Bastoni as the best defender in Serie A. He beat competition from Juve’s Gleison Bremer and Torino’s Alessandro Buongiorno.

For his part, Hakan Calhanoglu emerged as the best midfielder of the year. The Turkiye international has cemented himself as one of the best deep-lying playmakers in Europe.

The 30-year-old pulled the strings for the Nerazzurri in the middle of the park. He was also impeccable from the spot.

As most fans and observers expected, Lautaro Martinez won the Serie A MVP Award.

The 26-year-old enjoyed a splendid campaign. He has been the runaway leader in the Serie A goal-scoring charts since the start of the season. He has already netted 24 league goals.

But while the Inter captain was the de facto best striker of the season, the organizers opted to leave him out of this category.

Therefore, Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic claimed the Best Striker Award, beating Paulo Dybala and Rafael Leao to the honor.

Moreover, Monza’s Michele Di Gregorio was named Best Goalkeeper and Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee Best U23 Player.
