Inter have rejected a bid from Paris Saint-Germain for Milan Skriniar, although the defender has already committed to leaving for the French club by the summer.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Slovakia international has rejected a new contract with Inter and will depart when his current deal expires in June, having signed terms with PSG.

PSG would like to bring Skriniar in immediately, rather than wait for him to become a free agent in the summer, but Inter have dismissed their offer of €10 million this evening, and are demanding €20m to part with him before the close of the transfer window.

The Nerazzurri, meanwhile, have already begun sounding out replacements, with Lille’s Tiago Djalo high on their list, but the French club are unwilling to sell in January.

Another name linked is Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof, but the Premier League challengers are unwilling to allow him to leave on loan and a transfer fee would be too prohibitive for Inter.

Meanwhile, any approach for Roma centre-back Chris Smalling is not thought to be related to Skriniar, with the Englishman set to be used in the middle of a back three, rather than on the right where the Slovakian plays.
