Inter could meet Paris Saint-Germain halfway on a fee for Milan Skriniar if they are able to secure Atalanta defender Merih Demiral as a replacement this month.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are looking at Demiral as a suitable replacement who could unlock negotiations for sale of Skriniar to PSG at around €15 million.

Inter have received an offer from PSG worth around €10 million to cash in on Skriniar rather than lose him on a free transfer in the summer.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri’s asking price for the Parisians has been clearly set at around €20 million.

According to Sky, Inter and PSG could come together and agree a deal worth around €15 million, although the Nerazzurri would only consider this if they have a replacement in hand.

Lille’s Tiago Djalo and Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof have been two names lined up in this regard.

However, neither defender’s club have opened up to any possibility of a transfer during the January transfer window.

Atalanta defender Demiral is another player who Inter have inquired about, and the Nerazzurri are waiting to see whether La Dea open up to a loan move for the rest of the season.

If the 24-year-old former Sassuolo and Juventus defender were to be an attainable signing for the remainder of the season, Inter could well feel that he is a more than adequate option to replace Skriniar like-for-like according to Sky.
