According to the Corriere dello Sport, Como coach Cesc Fabregas has been rising rapidly in Inter’s estimation.

The 38-year-old former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea midfielder is still quite new to coaching. He just finished his first season coaching in Serie A after guiding the Lariani to promotion.

However, Fabregas has exactly the sort of profile Inter are after. They want to bring in a young coach if Inzaghi leaves, to rebuild the squad and get the best out of younger players.

So much so, in fact, that the Corriere report Inter have made contact with Fabregas in the last day or so.

The Nerazzurri have made clear that they consider the 38-year-old a major candidate.

Como will be very reluctant to let Fabregas leave, and will do everything to convince him to stay. However, a call from Inter could be enough to turn the Spaniard’s head.
