Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will name the strongest possible starting eleven available to him against Man City tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Nicolo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, and Hakan Calhanoglu will all be back in the lineup.

Inter get their Champions League campaign for the season underway tomorrow.

The Nerazzurri do so with a hugely difficult away trip to face Premier League juggernauts Manchester City.

Inter last faced City in the final of the 2022-23 edition of the competition.

The Cityzens prevailed 1-0 on that occasion despite it having been an even contest.

Playing away from home will make it all the tougher for Inter, though.

And the fact that City have won all four of their opening league fixtures underlines how tough tomorrow’s match will be.

Inzaghi To Name Strongest Inter XI Available Vs Man City

It was in view of tomorrow’s match that Inter coach Inzaghi made some changes to the team against Monza over the weekend.

In defense, Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni dropped out. Stefan de Vrij and Carlos Augusto took their place.

And in midfield, Inzaghi gave a chance to Kristjan Asllani and Davide Frattesi ahead of Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella.

But tomorrow, reports the Gazzetta, all the regular starters will be back.

Meanwhile, on the left flank Inzaghi will have to do without Federico Dimarco. The Italian international picked up a thigh strain against Monza.

Therefore, Carlos Augusto will start on the left flank rather than in defense.

And at right-wingback, the Gazzetta anticipates, Denzel Dumfries will get the nod ahead of Matteo Darmian.

The newspaper’s complete predicted Inter starting eleven for tomorrow’s Champions League match is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Carlos Augusto; Thuram, Lautaro.
