Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is annoyed with the sense that he is still not considered to be an absolutely top-level coach.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who suggest that the coach has increasingly hinted that he keeps having to prove himself over and over despite his accomplishments.

When Inzaghi took charge at Inter he did so in difficult circumstances, inheriting a chaotic atmosphere from Antonio Conte and losing several key players.

However, the coach had established a positive reputation for himself within Italian football based on his time at Lazio, and only built on it in his first campaign in charge at Inter.

However, it only took a few bad results at the start of the current season to prompt doubts about the 46-year-old’s future at the Nerazzurri.

In the intervening months, however, Inzaghi looks to have done well to steady the ship.

The team’s Supercoppa Italiana win over AC Milan, coming after an emphatic 3-0 win, is only the latest instance where the coach feels that he has clearly proved his doubters wrong.

And yet, the former Biancocelesti coach feels, his achievements and his level are not recognized as universally as they should be.
