Frattesi’s situation at Inter has come under the microscope in recent weeks.

The former Sassuolo midfielder is still far from a fixture in the starting eleven.

Therefore, Frattesi has reportedly started pushing for an exit. He wants to join a club where he will receive more playing time.

According to Tuttosport, however, Inter coach Inzaghi has had a talk with Frattesi on his situation.

The Nerazzurri coach has made clear that he still considers the Italian international an important part of his plans.

But that does not mean that Frattesi will start regularly.

Midfield is arguably the area of the pitch with the most competition for places in the Inter squad.

The likes of Nicolo Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Piotr Zielinski present formidable obstacles to Frattesi getting into the squad.

Therefore, Inzaghi has made clear to Frattesi that he is not going to suddenly start regularly over the second half of the season.

But the Inter coach has also impressed upon the 25-year-old that he’ll get his shot.

It is still a long season to go, with a packed fixture list across several competitions.

Both from the start and from the bench, Frattesi will certainly play. But he simply has to be patient.
