Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will stick with the back three, but otherwise make big changes to the team for Monday’s Serie A clash with Lazio.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter take on Lazio in a hotly-anticipated Serie A match this Monday.
The Nerazzurri go into the match level on points with the Biancocelesti. They do, however, have a game in hand on the club from the capital.
Therefore, there is little doubt that Monday’s match has the air of a potential title-decider.
It is not just Inter and Lazio who will see it that way. The likes of Atalanta, Napoli, Fiorentina, and even Juventus will surely be playing close attention to the match at the Stadio Olimpico.
Inter will have to head into Monday’s match off the back of a disappointing European outing. They suffered their first defeat in the Champions League this season against Bayer Leverkusen.
And the Gazzetta note that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will have little choice but to stick with the defense from that match.
The likes of Francesco Acerbi and Benjamin Pavard are still on the sidelines with muscle injuries.
Therefore, the back three of Yann Bisseck, Stefan de Vrij, and Alessandro Bastoni will start in Rome.
But elsewhere in the team, the Gazzetta report, Inzaghi is ready to completely overhaul things.
Their complete predicted eleven is as follows:
Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Lautaro.
