Inter Milan and AC Milan to battle for Lille defender Tiago Djalo

Inter Milan and AC Milan are set to compete for the signing of Lille defender Tiago Djalo, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Portuguese centre-back’s contract runs out in 12 months, and the Milan duo are keen to secure his services.
There has already been a Milan derby in the transfer market for Davide Frattesi this summer, with Inter eventually winning the race for the Italian midfielder.
The two Serie A giants need defensive reinforcements this summer.
Milan manager Stefano Pioli wants to add more quality to his backline to raise the bar next season.
Milan’s defence was a letdown last term, with Fikayo Tomori and Simon Kjaer facing criticism for their poor performances in big games.
Milan’s Pierre Kalulu has attracted interest from Juventus, who have reportedly proposed a swap deal involving Weston McKennie.
Inter are also actively scouring the market for a new centre-back after losing Milan Skriniar to Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

Both Milan clubs have been highly engaged in the summer transfer window.
