Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli are all keen to sign Lecce wingback Patrick Dorgu next summer.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that Lecce want €40 million for the Dane, and that Manchester United are also keen on his signature.
Dorgu has emerged as a regular starter for Empoli since the start of last season.
The 20-year-old is capable of playing either as a fullback or an attacking winger. He can play on either side of the pitch, though he is naturally left-footed.
Beyond that versatility, Dorgu has marked himself out particularly with his pace, ball control, and dribbling ability.
This has made the Danish international one of the most-fouled players in Serie A.
Dorgu has made twenty appearances for Lecce already this season after having been a regular in the starting eleven last campaign.
Dorgu’s form has not gone unnoticed by the big clubs in Serie A.
According to Sky Sport Italia, there is significant interest in signing the 20-year-old.
The broadcaster report that Lecce Sporting Director Pantaleo Corvino is in Milan today. The primary purpose of his visit is to sound out interest in Dorgu with his counterparts from some bigger clubs.
According to Sky, Corvino will meet with executives from all of Inter, AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli.
The broadcaster anticipate that all four of those clubs are keen to try and lay the groundwork for a summer move for Dorgu.
Moreover, Sky report, Premier League giants Manchester United are also targeting Dorgu.
Lecce are not keen to sell Dorgu this month. They want to keep hold of him for the remainder as he is a key player for them, and they are very much in the relegation battle.
Therefore, the discussions are more aimed at a potential summer transfer, reports Sky.
However, the broadcaster anticipate, if Como were to listen to bids for Como in the January transfer window, they would want no less than €40 million including add-ons.
