Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi spoke to Italian media outlet Sky Sports at half time of Inter’s game against Sampdoria, which they entered the half 2-0 up.
“We have made an important impact, especially in a difficult stadium like this. We prepared for the game well, creating a lot; now we have to score another goal to close out the game. The goal? Luckily, Sanchez came in and deflected it, but that’s fine.”
If the Nerazzurri hold onto their lead and win the game, they will return to the top of the league table, after Juventus dispatched SPAL 2-0 earlier today to jump above the Nerazzurri. Inter’s victory here would give the Milan based club a two-point lead over the Bianconeri.
The Nerazzurri have currently had an undefeated start to the league so far, winning all of their first five games of the season, including a derby victory over city rivals AC Milan.
