Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is happy after a strong performance from he and his teammates to see off Roma 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico earlier this evening.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN after the match, the 27-year-old stated that he is feeling very confident in his form after another strong display to take three points from the Italian capital.

Calhanoglu produced another display in a string of good performances from the past few weeks, scoring the opener through an Olimpico at the Olimpico.

In truth the goal was only a small part of the Turk’s overall performance, in which he also assisted Inter’s second and played a big role in a dominant Nerazzurri team performance to temporarily go ahead of Napoli in the Serie A table.

The midfielder is content after the team got the job done to continue a very positive few weeks with five wins from five in all competition.

Of his goal, Calhanoglu stated that “Yes, I was trying to score. I always try, at the near post, and this time it was well-placed to go in.”

“There is a bit of luck,” he added, “but I’m happy I scored, and also about the assist for Dzeko. Today we dominated, we didn’t concede anything, it was a great match.”

“We had already had some great matches, even against Juve and Milan we were excellent,” he continued.” We never stopped believing and the results came as a result.”

On his recent form, the midfielder stated that “I have more confidence and I feel really good. I want to give my best for the team and for the club, and the rest follows naturally.”

And about travelling to Madrid to face Real in the Champions League on Tuesday he said that “We already dominated at the San Siro despite losing. We are strong and we want to go there and win.”
