Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen is feeling positively about his recovery though he is not yet thinking about his return to football imminently, according to his agent.

Speaking to Goal.com, the Dane’s agent Martin Schoots explained that the consideration of Eriksen’s future in football is still some way away as he continues his recovery process.

Eriksen has been in good physical condition as well as in good spirits as he has gotten past the cardiac arrest that he suffered from the Euros.

However, the question of whether he will make his return to the pitch remains up in the air, with the 29-year-old still fitted with the cardiac implant that will make his return in Italian football impossible under health and safety regulations.

At any rate, his agent stressed, the player is not yet at a point where this is his primary consideration, and will make the choices he needs to on his own terms.

“Like anyone who has gone through what happened to him, Christian is working on his recovery,” Schoots explained. “He prefers to do it in Milan or when he is here, in Denmark, privately, in his country of birth.”

He went on that “When he is at home and he wants to, he can use the facilities of the Odense, from his former team.”

“Chris has a positive, upbeat and energetic character,” Schoots explained, “but it’s not yet time to talk about football. Only he will decide if and when it happens.”
