Inter Miami return home to Chase Stadium to take on Eastern Conference foes D.C. United this weekend, looking to extend their six-match unbeaten run.
The streaking Herons haven't looked back since their April 13 triumph over Sporting Kansas City. That victory sparked a five-match winning streak with the recent draw to Orlando City for Gerardo 'Tata' Martino's side, with the south Florida club having now collected 28 points from 14 matches played and sitting in first place in the Supporters' Shield standings.
Although D.C. United haven't exactly enjoyed as much success as Miami in 2024, they've still managed an impressive campaign thus far under new head coach Troy Lesesne. The ex-New York Red Bulls interim boss has guided the team to eighth place in the division, thanks in part to Christian Benteke's 11 goals scored for the Black and Red that has seen them collect 17 points from 13 matches played.
The two Eastern Conference teams last met in mid-March, with the Herons prevailing 3-1 at Audi Field without Lionel Messi but instead with Luis Suarez leading the charge with a brace.

Benteke will find the back of the net once more this season, but the likes of Luis Suarez and Matias Rojas will wreak havoc on the D.C. backline to secure the three points for Miami.
