Mohammed Adams has joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab FC following the mutual termination of his Inter Miami contract.

The English midfielder joined the Herons via a trade from Atlanta United in December 2021 and went on to make eight MLS appearances for Phil Neville's side, starting in five of them. Adams ranked third at Inter Miami for pressures per 90 minutes (29.7) and seventh for recoveries per 90 (7.95) during his time at the club.

Inter Miami revealed the mutual termination of Adams' contract on Friday via a short statement. Shortly after, Al-Shabab - who sit fourth in the Saudi Pro League with two games to play - announced the signing of the former Nottingham Forest midfielder on a four-year deal.

With Adams gone, Inter Miami will continue on with the likes of Jean Mota, Gregore, and Bryce Duke as their primary midfield options.

The Herons currently sit in the seventh and final MLS Cup Playoff spot on the Eastern Conference with 18 points from 14 games ahead of their trip to Atlanta United on June 19.
