Inter Miami 'finalising' Luis Suárez's signing on a short-term deal

Inter Miami are “finalising” a move to see Luis Suárez become their latest former Barcelona stalwart signing.

According to the Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Uruguayan could soon reunite with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

The quartet previously spent six years together at Camp Nou while their one-time manager Gerardo Martino is the Herons’ current head coach.

But Suárez’s proposed move to the Major League Soccer outfit on a one-year deal is still subject to his salary meeting the Designated Player threshold.

Now 36, the marksman is set to bow out from a season-long spell with Brazilian club Grêmio, where he produced 24 goals and 17 assists in 52 games, on Wednesday.
