Simone Inzaghi will be without experienced duo Arturo Vidal and Aleksander Kolarov for the trip to Venezia on Saturday evening, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, the Chilean midfielder has picked up a fever and a sore throat during the week and it has already been decided that he will not be able to take part in the match at all.

That is a big blow for the player as it seemed very likely that he would be starting the match in place of Nicolo Barella who is in need of a rest after many consecutive games in the Inter midfield.

Simone Inzaghi may now be forced to use the young Sardinian when he ideally would not, unless he chooses a midfield of Hakan Calhanoglu, Marcelo Brozovic, and Matias Vecino.

Aleksander Kolarov has suffered a muscle strain but was not expected to feature in the match.
