Legendary former Inter defender Beppe Bergomi feels that the Nerazzurri must set a clear deadline after which they will not sell Milan Skriniar.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Bergomi gave the view that the Nerazzuri cannot allow the situation of uncertainty around the Slovakian’s future go on for too much longer and must have a deadline in mind after which they will not allow him to leave.

There are still sixteen days left in the summer transfer window, and so until that time there cannot be any absolute certainty that Skriniar will not be sold with Paris Saint-Germain as well as Chelsea interested in signing the 27-yeear-old.

However, if the club is to make their stance clear as to when they would completely stop listening to offers, it could offer some reassurance to everyone involved in the situation.

The situation is now well underway and Bergomi feels that plans cannot be disrupted for much longer as far as a player as important as Skriniar.

“You have to set a timeline, you can’t go beyond that,” he said of the situation. “Skriniar is a player who gives the team an identity like Barella, Bastoni, Lautaro.”
