Inter are keen on signing Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister to reinforce their squad in central areas.

This according to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, via L’Interista, who report that the 23-year-old Argentine has emerged on the Nerazzurri’s radar as a target in midfield.

Inter are looking to add reinforcements to their midfield in the coming transfer windows, particularly with Roberto Gagliardini almost certain to depart at the end of his contract next June and Henrikh Mkhitaryan aged 33.

Mac Allister is a player who the club feel would have the right profile to suit their system which uses a midfield trio.

The 23-year-old has been a standout player in the early part of the Premier League season, scoring five goals in fourteen appearances for a Brighton team who have been one of the more eye-catching sides in the English top flight so far.

Moreover, Inter have been impressed by what they have seen by the Argentine playing for his national team at the World Cup in Qatar.
