Inter are hoping to be active in the January transfer window and offload players in order to fund a move for Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com editor Niccolo Ceccarini, the Nerazzurri are hoping to bolster their squad for the second half of the season and their primary target is France international Thuram, with his contract at Gladbach set to expire next summer.

In order to avoid competing against other interested parties when he becomes a free agent, Inter are keen to sign Thuram this winter and meet Gladbach’s €10 million asking price.

To fund this and any other moves, the Nerazzurri are hoping to cash in on unfavoured wingback Robin Gosens and sell Roberto Gagliardini, with the midfielder also approaching the end of his contract.

However, even if Inter are able to raise funds through these sales, a move for Thuram is complicated by the player himself, with the former Guingamp man in no rush to make a decision on his future just yet.
