Inter earned more money from matchday revenue in their home match against Real Madrid than AC Milan did in their home match against Atletico Madrid, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by Calcio e Finanza, Inter had 37,082 supporters in attendance for the home game against Real Madrid on matchday one of the Champions League.

That meant that they collected around €3.5 million when the hospitality services for executive fans are also brought into the equation.

AC Milan on the other hand for Tuesday night’s home game against Atletico Madrid only raised €2.7 million due to there being 35,374 fans in attendance.

Inter apparently used a different pricing system than AC Milan with had three different ranges. The tickets dedicated to members of the club were cheaper than normal but there was a higher price for the tickets that went onto general sale for fans who do not attend every game.
