Inter Have Already Lowered Wage Bill €20M Gross/Season Via Departing Players Including Perisic, Sensi & Ranocchia, Italian Media Report
Inter have already lowered their wage bill by more than €20 million through the departures of several players, with more expected to leave.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who note that the Nerazzurri have already come some way towards their goal of lowering the wage bill by 15% during the summer.
The arrivals of Romelu Lukaku, who the club will pay €12 million in gross wages this season, as well as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Andre Onana, whose gross wages total around €9 million, are among the biggest new expenditures for Inter next season in terms of wages.
However, even without the departures of the club’s two highest earners Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez, more than €20 million has already been offloaded via the departures of players.
Ivan Perisic’s departure to Tottenham Hotspur has removed €9.2 million gross per season from Inter’s wage bill, whilst the loan of Stefano Sensi to Monza saves the Nerazzurri €3.7 million gross per season.
Andrei Radu’s €1.8 million gross per season, Matias Vecino’s €4.6 gross per season, Aleksandar Kolarov’s €2.7 million gross per season, and Andrea Ranocchia’s €3.3 gross per season constitute further season.
Meanwhile, the departures of Sanchez and Vidal will save Inter more than €20 million gross per season on their own.
