Inter were happy with what they saw from on-loan defender Zinho Vanhesuden in Genoa’s Coppa Italia clash with AC Milan on Thursday.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Belgian’s performance was scouted by his parent club the Nerazzurri, who felt that he acquitted himself well despite the 3-1 loss to the Rossoneri.

Vanheusden has been a regular in the Griffone’s team this season, and the Nerazzurri have been watching his performances as they consider his future within Serie A.

The 22-year-old looked up to the pace of the Coppa Italia match against Milan, restricting the influence of Rossoneri striker Olivier Giroud despite the fact that his team were put under pressure for much of the match.

It remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri will decide to send Vanheusden out on loan again next summer or view him as a player who is ready to return into the first team for next season, but his performance against the Rossoneri was further evidence for the club to believe he has a future at the club.
